Yama and Niyama – the foundation of good practice

Yama (control of mind and behavior) and Niyama (psycho-emotional and bodily purity) are the first two stages of yoga and the condition for its effective practice.
By practicing the Pit, we take control of actions in relation to the world. Here are five limitations:
1) Ahimsa – non-violence against anyone and for anything, including in relation to oneself and to the natural order in the world;
2) Satya – a rejection of lies, primarily self-deception;
3) Asteya – rejection of the desire to possess what does not belong to us;
4) Brahmacharya – restraint, refusal to indulge your passions, desires and weaknesses;
5) Aparigraha – refusal to accept gifts and good deeds. Complete self-sufficiency, readiness to always rely only on one’s own strength.
Without self-regulation, one cannot achieve higher states of consciousness. Five rules:
1) Shaucha – means the purity of consciousness and body. This refers to purity in the world around a person, purity of body and clothes, as well as purity of consciousness, thoughts, purity of the inner world of a person;
2) Santosha – calm and acceptance of everything as it is;
3) Tapas – constant, hard training;
4) Svadhya – a person must read and assimilate the meaning of great books and scriptures written by spiritually advanced people. Reading a lot without proper understanding does not mean following the principle of Swadhya. This principle is important in that it establishes contact with great people and inspires us to continue our efforts on the path of self-knowledge;
5) Ishvara Pranidhana – humility and acceptance of God as the goal of his life.

Andrei Sidersky writes: “The following aspects of the impact of yoga exercises seem especially significant in this context. Their practice reorganizes and optimizes all systemic processes, including direct absorption of substances from the large intestine into the blood. Due to the study of the abdominal cavity during the practice of yoga gymnastic techniques, it is significantly intensified.

The presence of a dense parietal layer of decayed shit and old so-called “fecal stones” in the large intestine is a typical situation for the vast majority of human beings that lead a normal average lifestyle. Intensification of the absorption process due to hard practice leads to an increase in the intensity of direct intake of toxins into the blood through the capillaries of the villi of the intestinal walls and accelerate their spread throughout the body. The brain gets its dose of poison right there quickly in place.

It is interesting how there, with the purity of thoughts and motives, of a person whose brain is drunk to the eyeballs with the most natural, moreover, for a long time not fresh shit. And what is the emotional color of psychedelic fantasies visiting his tainted imagination? The liver, of course, is trying as best it can, but, of course, in the end it can’t cope. The result of general deep autointoxication of the body is the “acidification” of blood and other intercellular media (see Sivananda “Yoga Therapy”). And this is already creating conditions in which viruses, pathogenic bacteria and fungi coexist remarkably and actively multiply. In a slightly alkaline environment, they, as is clear from experiments known since the middle of the year before last, do not live. In addition, when the balance of the intercellular medium is mixed into the “acidic” side, it is difficult to remove the vital products of cells from the intracellular spaces of body tissues (the phenomenon of blockage of membrane permeability due to excessive tension of the cell membranes due to the pH difference of the media adjacent to them). As a result, intracellular autointoxication with waste products of the vital activity of cells is added to autointoxication at the level of intercellular media.

The more intensive the practice in the foyer of the uncleaned intestines, the higher the level of self-poisoning of the body. Acidification of blood and other environments leads to a shift in salt balance – problems arise in the joints, especially in the joints of the spine. An attempt to solve them due to an even greater intensification of practice by mechanically destroying salt deposits leads to overloading of the kidneys and the occurrence of salt stones in them. The liver and gall bladder receive a “dose” at once – cholecystitis develops with all the chronic consequences arising from it. Constantly acidic environment in the stomach – regardless of whether the digestion process is ongoing or not – and here is the result – gastritis, gastroduodenitis, erosion, ulcer. By the way, a fairly typical layout for the “Western yogis.” Acidic saliva – high abrasion of teeth and caries. Well, and then periodontal disease …

Thus, the practice of hatha yoga techniques without carefully maintaining the cleanliness of the digestive tract leads to the emergence and strengthening of many systemic problems, and, as a result, to mental disorders (instead of stabilizing the mental state, which, in fact, is called “yoga”, and in order to achieve which is all, as it were, in theory).
